I modified my good old Compaq Presario SR1617NL a bit. I added a second harddrive and replaced the thermal grease with OCZ Freeze Extreme. I also replaced the stock psu with an OCZ ModXstream Pro, which has a bigger fan, i.e. 120 mm (and does not smell badly, unlike the previous).

Specs:
cpu: AMD Athlon64 3400+ Venice (2.2 GHz, socket 939)
RAM: 3 GB, 2x 1 GB PQI DDR-400 and 2x 512 MB Samsung DDR-400
Graphics: Asus Geforce 6200, passive cooling
HDD: 250 GB Western Digital Caviar. 8 MB buffer
HDD 2: Seagate Barracuda 7200.12

Idle temps (measured with Everest Home Edition):

cpu: 15° C (!)
motherboard: 33° C
GPU: 56° C
HDD 1: 42° C
HDD 2: 32° C
